Super Eagles defender William Troost-Eekong made a moving return to Vicarage Road on Saturday, visiting his former Watford FC club.

The Nigerian international, who played for the Hornets between 2020 and 2023, was a key figure during his spell to the club.

He starred in 64 games, scoring twice and was decisive in the thrust and Watford championship campaigns.

Troost-Eekong was seen among the spectators while Watford hosted Hull City in a championship appointment, attracting warm applause from supporters who love his leadership and commitment with affection.

Now 30, the central defender continues his professional career abroad but maintains strong links with the part of the Hertfordshire, where he remains a respected figure both inside and off the pitch.
