Head coach Randy Waldrum has excluded team captain Onome Ebi and veteran winger Francisca Ordega from the Nigeria Super Falcons squad for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
On Wednesday, coach Waldrum announced his final roster of 18 women for this year’s Women’s Olympic Football Tournament in France, leaving out both Ebi and Ordega despite their expressed desires to participate.

Ebi (41) and Ordega (30) have not been included in the squad since the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

New captain Rasheedat Ajibade will lead the team, which includes goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defender Osinachi Ohale and forward Asisat Oshoala.
The team also features defenders Oluwatosin Demehin and Michelle Alozie, midfielders Deborah Abiodun, Halimatu Ayinde, Christy Ucheibe and Toni Payne, along with forwards Esther Okoronkwo, Chinwendu Ihezuo and Uchenna Kanu.
Team members currently on vacation in Nigeria will join local players and team officials aboard an Air France flight from Abuja to Seville, Spain, on Thursday evening.
The rest of the squad and the coaching staff will arrive in Seville on Friday for a two-week training camp.
