The dates for matchdays one and two of the 2026 World Cup qualifyong fixtures for the Super Eagles have been fixed.
On Friday, November 17, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will play their opening match in the qualifiers against the Crocodiles of Lesotho.
The game is scheduled to take place in Uyo’s Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
Three days later, Jose Peseiro’s team would take on the Zimbabwean Warriors in the second game.

The second match against Zimbabwe is scheduled to take place at Kigali’s Amarhoro Stadium in Rwanda.
The other teams in the group are Rwanda, the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, and Benin Republic, who are coached by former Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr.
The top team in the group will automatically qualify for the USA, Canada, and Mexico-hosted World Cup in 2026.
Recall that the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the last edition of the global soccer fiesta hosted by Qatar after they lost to perennial rivals Ghana in the playoff round.
