The Lagos State Police Command has charged one Abiola Odutayo for the death of Co-Founder Bumpa, Adetunji Opayele alias Teejay.
Command spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, said in a statement posted on his X grip on Saturday that Odutayo was charged on March 12 in Court 1, Tinubu, after being discharged from the hospital.
He was charged with reckless and careless driving on the public highway.
The woman was involved in the March 4 accident which caused the death of Co-Founder Bumpa.
The Odutayo vehicle crashed into Opaleye, which was on an electric bicycle along Jalan Ozumba Mbadiwe on Victoria Island, Lagos, on the night of March 4.
The 32 -year -old player returned from Gym Ifitness on Victoria Island when he lost his life.

More than 30,000 people have signed a petition that demanded a severe accusation of Odutayo, a health care professional with an insurance intermediary company on Lagos Island.
Hundeyin said the court granted the defendant’s guarantee and postponed the case until April 16.
The statement reads: “We #LagOSPOLICENG acknowledged public concerns about the tragic accident that claimed the lives of Adetunji Opayele (Teejay) on March 4, 2025. We expand our deepest sympathy to their families, friends, and all who were affected by this loss.
“We can confirm that after a thorough investigation, Abiola Odutayo ‘F’ was charged in Court 1, Tinubu on March 12, 2025, after he was dismissed from the hospital, because he drove on the ‘public highway in a careless and careless way without attention and attention to other road users and caused the death of one Tunji Opayle’ M ‘Min2
