Olympique Marseille Eye Summer Movement for Torunarigha

According to the reports, the Olympique Marseille keeps the eyelashes over the center of Kaa Gent Jordan Torunarigha, with the Nigerian international that will become a free agent this summer.

The 27 -year -old is in the last months of his contract in the Belgian League team and has not shown interest in signing an extension.

As a result, Gent is preparing for his departure, with the French giants Marseille among the clubs that monitor their situation, according to Berliner Kurier.

Torunarigha has been a constant artist since he joined Gent de Hertha Berlin in 2022.

In the last two years, he has accumulated 98 appearances in the League for buffalos and has played a key role in his national and European campaigns.

The interest in Torunarigha is nothing new. Last summer, the defender was strongly linked to a return to the Bundesliga, particularly Hoffenheim, but the movement did not materialize.

It was also rumored that the Serie A team and the Premier League clubs, Crystal Palace and Leeds United, were in the mixture.

Despite Gent’s efforts to tie it with a contract extension, Nigeria’s international has decided to explore new opportunities, making it a main objective for clubs seeking defensive reinforcements.

Marseille, currently sitting second in Ligue 1, has been solid in the attack this season, scoring 62 goals, the second highest in the League. However, its defense remains a weak point, after granting 42 goals, the worst record among the eight best parts.

Torunarigha’s aerial domain and the strong approach capacity could help reinforce their background while seeking to challenge the titles next season.

In the international scene, Torunarigha made his debut in Super Eagles in October 2023 in a friendly victory over Mozambique. He was also part of the team during the World Cup qualifying qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
