The candidate of the Democratic Party of people (PDP) in the elections of the Governorate of 21 September 2024 in the state of Edo, dr. ASUE IGHIDALE, Thursday he urged the members’ members and lealists to be strong in the face of the challenges that face the party, saying that they aim to test their trust in God.
I ighodalo made the call to Benin as he turned to hundreds of the party’s faithful during a meeting of the interested parties organized by the chapter of the Edo State of the party.
Igodalo told the huge meeting that he was focused on the recovery of the party mandate freely given to him and his racing partner, Osarodion Ogie by the good people of the state.
He promised to reward all those who worked for the party with every sense of loyalty and appealed to them to continue supporting the PDP while continuing the efforts to recover the stolen mandate.
“We will renovate, strengthen and reflect the party. You have worked for the party in total loyalty and you will be more than appropriately rewarded. Days in which the people who have not worked, who should not be rewarded are the ones who are rewarded, those days have disappeared,” Inscared Igonodalo.
Igodalo also urged all the members and leaders of Edo’s PDP to remain united, saying: “This family is an extraordinary family. I did not have the opportunity to publicly thank everyone from the elections.
“Despite intimidation, despite the expense for money, despite everything they have done to us, we have won that election.
“I thank all of you. I thank our women. I thank the young people, I thank everyone. In fact, I cannot stop thanking you. I assure everyone that by the grace of God, when we have our mandate, we will manage a first -class government we have talked about.
“I promise you now by grace of God. This is what we will continue to promise the people of the state of Edo, and it will be so. So help us, God. Many people want to know the judicial case. We have appealed.
“By grace of God, our lawyers are doing an even more difficult job. I trust them implicitly and we will present our case to the Court of Appeal.
“And if necessary, we present our case to the Supreme Court. And God is right. So be all strong. God is only one God.
“We are the people of the PDP in the state of Edo and we citizens of the state of Edo from the base, God is listening to our cries,” said Igodalo.

Others are members of the Chamber of Representatives, Marcus Onobun, former Prime Minister, Esan North East, John Yakubu, Mrs.benedica Atoe, Pascal Ugbomhe, Akhere Ugbesia, Senator Odion Ugbiana, Owere Dickson Imiogie, Joe Okojie, Friday Iuulah and PDP LGA among others.
