Dikko, NDSF initiator discussed the involvement of the private sector in sports

Abuja (Core reporter) The president of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko and the Niger Delta Sports Festival initiator Sir Festival, Itiako Ikpokpo Havr have both solved to facilitate the involvement of the private sector in sports in Nigeria.

Lord, Ikpokpo, who visited the NSC boss, had a fruitful discussion with his guest on mutual interest issues in the exploration of roads to improve the sports economy and in particular increase the involvement of the private sector in sports.

Sir Ikpokpo spoke with the press after his meeting with the Boss NSC, he believes that the meeting with Mallam Dikko is a nice honor for him and will motivate him to do bigger things for Nigerian sports.

His words: “I came to see the president of the NSC because his vision of bringing sports to the next level aligns with mine and is quite exceptional and unprecedented, as well as to thank him personally for his support against us towards the success organization of the ENNN possible collaborations.

“I started the sports festival of the local government in Delta and the Niger Delta Sports Festival, but there is anything else that I can still contribute to sport at the federal level. My passion for the development of sport has found a meeting point in Mallam Dikko, who is the father of sports in the country and also has a respectable record track in the sports administration.

“When we put the head together, it is for the final good of Nigerian sports. With the vision of the sports economy that is carried out by this administration, the private sector must be encouraged to be more involved in the sector and I have the ability to contribute positively to this goal. We must put our money where our mouth is located.”

Thanking the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu for having appointed Mallam Dikko as president of the NSC, Sir Ikpokpo is very confident that he will excel in the assignment.

“I also came to congratulate the President of the NSC formally for the good work he is doing together with his colleagues from the Commission. His vision already has a remarkable impact in the sector and is visible for everyone. We must praise the president for having put a round piece in a round hole,” he said.
