Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, said you “could not spy on allies” after a report about us gathering intelligence about Greenland.
Comments are the latest in disputes Donald Trump Ongoing efforts to encourage US control over Greenland, which is a semi-autonomous area of the Danish kingdom.
They came after a report in the US media that Washington’s eye agents had been told to focus on Greenland, including the island’s independence movement, and sentiment around the US extraction of mineral resources.

Why does the US want Greenland?
On Thursday, Denmark Foreign Minister summoned the US Ambassador to discuss the report on the wall street journal.
Tulsi Gabbard, director of the US National Intelligence, did not deny the stories, which MS Frederiksen was referred to as “rumors”, but cursed those who were responsible for leaking confidential information.
MS Gabbard said in a statement that he had made three “criminal” references to the US Department of Justice for the leakage of the intelligence community.

Trump said he wanted to annex the area, claiming the US needed it for national security purposes.

Speaking to the US Sky News partner network, NBC News, that month, Trump said that military forces did not come out of the table in connection with acquiring Greenland.
He said: “I think there is a good possibility that we can do it without military power”, but warned: “I did not let go of anything from the table.”

Greenland residents and politicians react with anger towards their recurring suggestions, with Denmark leaders also criticized them.
Nielsen spoke a few days after US Vice President JD Vance visited Greenland with his wife Usha and senior US officials.
Vance visited the American military base on the island and Denmark who is claimed to have “did not do a good job” In connection with the region.
He said: “Our message to Denmark is very simple: You have not done a good job by Greenland people.
“You have underestimated the people in Greenland, and you have underestimated the security architecture of the extraordinary and beautiful landmas land filled with extraordinary people.”
