The speaker of the Chamber of Representatives RT. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, expressed deep pain for the disappearance of the Turakin Dawakin Zazzau, Alhaji Ramalan Yero.
The deceased Turakin Dawakin Zazzau, who was the father of a former Kaduna state governor, Muktar Ramalan Yero, died on Monday, at the age of 85.
The speaker Abbas, in a message of condolences issued through his special councilor for the media and advertising, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, described the deceased Turakin Dawakin Zazzau as a patriot, an nationalist and an elderly statesman.
He said that the disappearance of such a compassionate, altruistic, generous, honest and loving human being is truly a loss not only for the state of Zazzau Emirato and Kaduna, but also for the entire nation.
The speaker Abbas recalled the precious contribution of the deceased Turakin Dawakin Zazzau to the construction of the nation during his days as the main official-a testimony of his unwavering commitment for public service and the dedication to national development.
Born in 1940 in Kaura, Zaria, the deceased Alhaji Ramalan Yero taught in various primary schools between 1963 and 1967 and later became principal. He joined the Nigerian Railway Corporation in 1968 after a 6 -month training program. He also worked at the UAC International, serving Kano, Sokoto and Kaduna, for over 20 years until his retirement in 2000.
After his retirement, he became president of the Neuropsychiatric hospital of Barnawa, Kaduna; President of the Consultative Forum of Arewa (ACF), chapter of the State of Kaduna; President of the Board of Directors of the Federal Government School of the School Girls, Basawa, Zaria, among others.
He was turban like Turakin Dawakin Zazzau Zazzau in 2009 and contributed to development activities, particularly in education, in Zaria and beyond.
The speaker Abbas prayed Allah (SWT) to accept the soul of the deceased Turakin Dawakin Zazzau and make Jannatul Firdus his final residence.
