The Minister of Work, Dave Umahi, has stated that the governor’s confidence in Southeast will support the Tinubu Bola President in the 2027 presidential election.
The Minister, according to a statement issued on Tuesday by a special advisor about information and strategies to the President, Bayo Onanuga, spoke in a feature interview for the documentary film of the upcoming state home marks the second warning of Tinubu in the office.
He said this region enjoyed federal attention and infrastructure development under Tinubu.
He urged opposition figures in the southeast to be in harmony with President Tinubu for the benefit of the region.
Umahi said: “The IGBO man is active and blessed with the wisdom given by God. What NDI IGBO is looking for is justice, Nigeria who treats every equal zone. That is what President Ahmed Tinubu did.
“Previously, when I became Governor and Deputy Governor, one of our main concerns in the state of Ebonyi was the lack of federal presence. But today, no one remembers the problem again. Under the President of Tinubu, at least four federal projects are taking place in the state of Ebonyi.
“Today, Southeast has the Minister of Work for the first time, and we look at real-Port Harcourt projects to Enugu, Enugu to Abakariki, Enugu to Onitsha, Onitsha to Ontorri, and the second Niger Bridge. The President has paid 30 percent of the bridge costs.
“All governors in the south-
East, regardless of party affiliates, works with the president. We even planned the summit to unite all southeast leaders to support the president for formal 2027 elections. We want our project to be completed, the State Association is strengthened, and the right integration of IGBO NDI.
“Leadership is not about yourself -this is about people. If other people have done what you will do for your people, support it. I call my brother, His Majesty Peter Obi, to join us and work with Mr. President,” he added.
“He must be part of this Summit where we will collectively support President Tinubu for the 2027 election. I say bravely: Southeast happy with the President.”
