[Developing] Finally, the governor of Akwa Ibom downloads PDP for APC

The governor of the state of Akwa Ibom Umbo Eno has announced his decamping from the Democratic Party of people (PDP) to the Congress All Progressives (APC).

The governor said that the decision followed three months of large consultations with the parties concerned in the state of Akwa Ibom.

The Decamping was confirmed on Friday, with several governors and APC leaders present, including Hope Uzodinma, president of the forum of the governors of the APC and governor of the state of IMO, and Bassey Otu, a cross River State governor.

The event, which took place in the banquet hall of the Uyo government house, was planned to be a great opportunity but was reduced due to the Muslim holiday of the Sallah.

Other governors of APC present included Babajide Sanwo-Oell of the State of Lagos and Dapo inhabitants of the State of Ogun. The security around the government’s house was narrow, with a huge deployment of DSS and police officers.
