The Presidential has responded to the statement credited to the presidential candidate of the Labor Party in 2023: Election, Peter Obi, regarding the current government policy initiative.
Obi, during the program on Arise TV, agreed that the removal of fuel subsidies. And floating Naira carried out by the administration of the President of Bola Tinubu is in a good policy.
He, however, stated that the regret of the policy was less applied, causing unprecedented difficulties in the country.
Special advisory regarding policy communication to the President, Daniel Bwala said in a statement on Monday that the new Obi comment during a television interview that appeared confirmed his support for the two most consequence policy movements Tinubuu: Elimination of gasoline subsidies and the unification of foreign exchange rates.
He said: “Peter Obi agrees with the policy of eliminating our subsidies and the unification of forex,” Bwala said in a post on his official account X (previously Twitter). “He claims he will do it better in ‘organized ways,’ but when asked to explain what it means, he dances around the question.”

Bwala, a former spokesman for the Atiku Abubakar campaign, believes that Obi’s response does not have an alternative that is depth and concrete.
“Anyone who has rational thoughts can see that these people just want to take strength,” he said.
“They do not have a clear alternative agenda. His economic understanding looks very shallow.”
In the tone of interview, Bwala also commented on what he considered a gentle approach by the TV anchor that appeared, showed it because of the alleged alignment of the anchor with the “Obidient” movement, the Obi support base. “That is why there is no ‘I put it on you,’ there is no rottweiler -style roasting,” joked Bwala, referring to the style of the event that was usually aggressive.
