Forces killed 8 terrorist suspects in Katsina

The 17 Brigade troops, which operate under Yamma’s Fasan Operation in the State of Katsina, on Wednesday killed eight terrorist suspects in the state.

Director, Defense Media Operation, Major. Markus Kangye, revealed this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.

He said the troops involved terrorists and thwarted their plans after a prolonged duel along the Kurfi -Batsari road.

He added that five AK-47 rifles, six AK-47 magazines, and 13 special ammunition rounds 7.62mm were found in operations.

The spokesman added that a soldier, however, was injured in action and was evacuated to 17 Brigade Medical Center for treatment.

“The situation remains calm, while the morals of the troops and the efficiency of the battle remain high.

“The defense headquarters praised the courage and professionalism of the troops involved in the operation.

“We convince Nigerians about our sustainable efforts to ensure the safety and security of our citizens,” said Kangye.
