Thursday, the Defense headquarters (DHQ) said that the troops deployed in different theaters of operations across the country have eliminated several terrorists’ pins and their football soldiers in the second quarter of (April in June) 2025.
The high military command also said that the troops arrested over 1,191 terrorists and saved 543 victims kidnapped throughout the country.
The director, the defense media operations, the major general Markus Kangye, revealed it as he informed journalists in Abuja.
According to him, among the eliminated terrorist Kingpini, Amir Abu Fatimah, Kinging Auta, Abdul Jamilu, Salisu, Mallam Jidda, Maiwada, Mai Dada and Nwach Eze were feared otherwise known as Orewu.

Kangye said that the military supported operations against terrorists, bandits and other criminal elements that represent a serious threat to national security and socio-economic activities.
Speaking also, the defense spokesman also declared over 682 terrorists during the fourth and their families surrendered to the troops.
Speaking, he revealed that during the offensive operations conducted in Gwoza, Bama, Chibok and Ngala Lga of the State of Borno, as well as Gujba and Madagali LGA of Yoube and Adamawa States from 27 June to 2 July, the troops killed some terrorists, while 32 of them were arrested.
“They also recovered some quantities of weapons and ammunition, as well as rpg, IED and IED bombs to produce materials,” he said.
Speaking in the fight against the theft of oil, Kangye said that the troops of the Delta Safe operation operating in the Niger Delta foiled the theft of oil of the value of over n3.5 billion.
According to him, the failure indicates: 2.38 liters of stolen crude oil, 605,393 liters of FA, 41,465 liters of DPK and 26,905 liters of PMS were recovered.
βThe troops recovered 344,749 liters of stolen crude oil and 162,681 liters of illegally tiring.
