The coach head, Eric Chelle, published a provisional list of 35 men for the Super Eagles B team in view of the eighth African nations championship (Chan) 2025.
The list includes captain Junior Nduka and Pope Daniel Mustapha, both considered fundamental for the preparations of the National Team of Nigeria.
The Chan tournament will be hosted in August by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
The tournament is exclusive for the players competing in their domestic championships.
An Ademola Olajire’s declaration on Friday, director of communications at Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), confirmed the list.
The Anas Yusuf striker presents in the foreground, together with several names established in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The first choice goalkeeper Henry Ani makes the team, together with the defenders Waliu Ojetoye, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Kabiru Mohammed and Uzondu Harrison.
The midfielders Haddi Haruna and Salvatore Isaac were also included, together with the strikers of Sunday Megwo, Adamu Abubakar and Godwin Obaje.
The Kayode Bankole and Ebenezer Harcourt goalkeepers were called, as well as the defenders Sodiq Ismaila and Stephen Manyo Egbe.
The midfielder Adam Aminu and the attacker Atle Joseph and Temitope Vincent have also gained calls.
Nigeria, the second classified in 2018, is included in the group D of the 19 nations competition.
They are grouped next to the senegal titlers, as well as Sudan and Congo.
Super Eagles will face Senegal and Sudan at the Amman stadium, located on the island of Zanzibar.
Their last group game, against the Congo, will be played at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium, Dar Es Salaam.
Olajire said that all invited players must report to the Remo Stars Sports Institute, Ikenne-Remo, Ogun, Monday.
Players must bring their international passports and clubs valid to the field.
