The commander of the Forza Mag. Gen. Mutkut reiterates Mnjtf’s commitment to guarantee the region of the lake’s Chad

In a strategic move to improve safety and stability in the region of Lake Chad, the joint multinational task force of the strength (FC) Mnjtf General General Godwin Mutkut and the fourth joint military region of Cameroon Armed Forces Saleh Mahamadou have committed themselves to conducting a robust collaboration to definitely contrast the insufficiency in the Basino lake. The commitment was made during a strategic operational visit from the FC to the headquarters of the Emergence 4 operation

During the visit, the main general Mutkut reiterated that Mnjtf and Operation Emergence 4 have common enemies in the terrorists of Boko Haram and Iswap who have afflicted the region for over 15 years draining resources and causing a widespread loss of lives and properties. As a result, the Emergence 4 Eye Ball to Eye Ball was seen to share intuitions, face the challenges and forge a joint coordinated strategy to overcome threats to the safety of the region.

The main general Mutkut stressed that the renewed synergy will extend beyond Mnjtf and the Emergence 4 operation, which includes all interested parties dedicated to guaranteeing the Lake Chad basin. He asked for the continuous support of the counties that contribute to troops to strengthen the mission.

In response, the main general Saleh Mahamadou praised Mnjtf’s efforts to improve safety and promote economic activities in the lake Chad basin. He said that his troops are more than ready to provide any support and collaboration capable of exploiting the strength of both.

The FC also made a courtesy visit to the governor of the region of the far north of Cameroon his excellence Midjiyawa Bakare, where he assured the governor that there will be a change in the current operation with counter in the lake region.

The strengthened collaboration marks a fundamental moment in the fight against terrorism in the Lake Chad basin which reports a unified determination to restore stability and safety for the community of the region.
