Nanpf, D&B Sports Management Sign Strategic Partnership

National Association of Nigerian Professional Footders (Nanpf) and D&B Sports Management has signed a strategic partnership agreement to market and transform the well -being of Nigerian players

Abuja, Nigeria, 11 July 2025 in a reference move aimed at strengthening Nigerian players and transforming the country’s players’ welfare system, the National Association of Nigerian Professional Footres (Nanpf) entered a strategic partnership with D&B Sports Management, led by the international sports consultant Benedict Eni.

The agreement, officially signed this week, marks a significant turning point for the union as it seems to modernize its operations, introduce commercial paintings and implement the best international practices in the representation of players, in well -being and financial liability.

“This is not just a partnership, it is a strategic alignment for the future of the Nigerian players,” said Benedict Eni, CEO of D&B Sports Management. “We are proud to work with the union to build a transparent and digitally guided ecosystem that gives priority to players’ rights and unlocks the commercial value”.

Based on the agreement, the parties have jointly set up a vehicle for special purposes (SPV) to act as an exclusive platform for the management of all sponsorships, sponsorships, social contributions and other financial incentives for the members of the Union.

D&B Sports Management will act as the main consultant of the Union for marketing, legal structuring, branding and strategic growth.

The key components of the partnership include:

Legal incorporation and governance of the Union and SPV

Development of an identity system of the digital player and centralized database

Introduction of union level insurance and welfare schemes

Recruitment of national and international sponsors

Middle visibility improved and global scouting opportunities for players

The union also appointed Benedict Eni as a special consultant of the Executive Committee, with the mandate to preside over a subcommittee of newly established commercial development.

“This partnership reflects our profound commitment to protect and promote Nigerian players,” said Abe, president of the board of directors of the National Association of Nigerian Professional Footders (Nanpf) on Sunday.

“Together with D&B Sports Management, we are laying the foundations for a new era of professionalism, responsibilities and opportunities for our members,” added Austin Popo, executive secretary.

The partnership has an immediate effect, with the implementation already in progress.
