APC rejects the impact of Atiku’s exit from PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos on Wednesday, former Vice President Atikar Abubakar resignation from the Democratic Party (PDP) will not affect his opportunities in the 2027 general election.

Atiku, on Wednesday threw PDP on a protracted crisis at the party.

APC spokesman at Lagos, Seye Oladejo, in a statement, said Atiku’s defeat of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) would not change anything for the 2027 election.

He said the development confirmed the internal collapse of the PDP and the former president who was continuously lack of political consistency.

“Acts of Atiku reflect an ambition without principle, not driven by ideology but with a tireless personal pursuit,” said Oladejo.

He emphasized that the defector will not increase the opportunity for ADC or APC dominance in Lagos or national.

The spokesman added: “Whether PDP, ADC or others, Nigeria remains politically aware and will not be adrift.

“APC stands as the only party that provides real governance, economic advantages, and solid infrastructure.”

He said Atiku’s steps allow voters to evaluate the integrity and consistency of those who aspire to lead.

Oladejo reiterated APC’s commitment to national unity, sustainable progress, and leadership aimed.

He pushed the APC loyalist in Lagos to remain united and active at the grassroots for the success of the election.
