Thursday, the Federal Executive Council will hold a special session to honor the deceased former president Muhammadu Buhari.
The special consultant of President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, declared this in a declaration through his official management x Wednesday.
He said the session would be chaired by the president Tinubu in the presidential villa, Abuja.
“In the context of the special mourning activities approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a special session expanded by the Federal Executive Council in honor of the deceased former president and commander in the head of the Armed Forces, Muhammadu Buhari, will take place tomorrow, Thursday, at 17:00, at the Chambers of the Council, at the Presidential Villa, Prord”
The Fec expanded will be assisted by the leadership of the National Assembly: the Senate and the Chamber of Representatives, the judiciary and representatives of the family of the deceased former president.
The special meeting of the FEC will be held after the prayer of the third day for the deceased ex -president in his residence in Daura, in the state of Katsina, with the vice -president Kashim Shetima who leads a delegation of the federal government, including ministers, for prayers.
In addition, a special prayer session will be held on Friday in honor of the deceased former president of the national mosque, Abuja, while Sunday a special church service will be held on Sunday.
Following the news of the disappearance of Buhari in London on Sunday evening, President Tinubu had revealed that he would be granted him state honors.
“As a sign of respect for our former leader, I directed that all national flags fly half -staff throughout the country for seven days,” wrote Tinubu.
