Senator Osun, Francis Fadahunsi, stopped PDP

Senator representing Osun East, Francis Fadahunsi, has resigned from the membership of the Democratic Party (PDP).

Senator announced his resignation from the former party in power in a letter dated June 12, 2025, and was addressed to the party leader in Bangsal 4, the Obokun Regional Government area in the state.

In a letter provided for journalists on Saturday in Osogbo, Fadahunsi said he resigned from PDP because of differences that could not be reconciled in the party since the 2023 general election.

MPs members are the third prominent member who came out of the PDP in the last four days.

The duo of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Ovation Magazine Publisher Dele Momodu, threw a party for a week.

The letter reads: “I want to officially tell you that I am resigning from the membership of the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) with direct effects, due to unwilling and unconscious differences and protracted legal battles that have confuted the party at the national level after the 2023 general election.

“This was concluded after consultation and involvement with my political partners, family, and friends.

“It is my desire that you accept my resignation in good faith.”
