Conversing from the Bringbackourgirls Movement, Aisha Yesufu, has scolded the Governor of the State Edo on Monday Okpebholo, for warning former presidential candidates from the Labor Party, Peter Obi, to avoid the country.
. Okpebholo on Friday warned that the former Governor of the State Anambra not to come to the state without permission from the security agent.
“There is a new sheriff in the city. He can’t just come to Edo without telling me. His safety will not be guaranteed. If something happens to him here, he will blame himself. I am not kidding,” Okpebholo said in broadcast.
“He came a few days ago and gave N15 million. A man who claimed to have no money. Where did he get it?
“After he left, there was a riot in Benin, and three people lost their lives. That’s why I say this: Tell Obi not to enter Edo without telling me first.”

Yesufu, who appeared on the Channels television breakfast program on Monday, said Okpebholo did not have the power to stop every Nigerian from visiting the state of Edo.
“He said it very clearly, and he said it very hard. He said your security would not be guaranteed if you do whatever happens to you; you know that to you, so it’s a threat to his life.
“Beyond that, it is also the fact that the Edo state government also came out with a statement where they said that he did not threaten him, but he needed to tell them when he came and also received security permits.
“I do not know what gives the governor of courage that he can give security permission for every Nigerian to be able to come to the state of Edo.
“He is currently probably the person who regulates the country, but he does not have the right to give permission to anyone so that they are anywhere,” said the activist.
