Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott says he is having a good relationship with Florian Wirtz.
Elliott assumed a 10-minute paper paper for 45 minutes, along with Wirtz’s summer firm, in Liverpool’s 4-2 defeat against AC Milan in a pre-season friendly.

“I think it was just learning to have that relationship with Flo,” he continued. “When one falls, one remains high and returns to the defenders. If the ball was on one side, make sure we both see to support.

“I think we had a very good relationship for the first time playing among us and I think he click very well. I think we had some opportunities and could cause problems.
“I think it was a really good test in very, very difficult conditions against incredible team too.
“They were different formations that, as a team, we have never played before, but I think there were very good times in the game.
“In the end, four goals that we granted and I think we could have avoided them in some way. But it is preseason and it is better to make these mistakes now than to make them throughout the season. We just need to learn from it, reflect and take out the positive aspects of it.”
