Fingi Rewards Super Falcons Coach Justin Madugu with home, N50M

The Governor Ahmadu of the State of Adamawa has honored the Super Falcons coach, Justin Maduug, with a bungalow with three bedrooms and a cash gift of N50 million for his role in the triumph of Nigeria at the Cup of the Africa Nations of women of 2024 (Wafcon).

The presentation was made at the Government Chamber of Yola, according to a Facebook post by the Governor’s Auk of the Media, Pio Iliya.

Maduu, originally from Adamawa, was praised for his instrumental role in leading the national women’s football team to victory during the tournament held at the beginning of this year in Morocco.

“The governor Ahmadu Umaru Forniri, on behalf of the government and the people of the State of Adamawa, gave Justine Pwanidi Madugu (coach of the Super Falcons of Nigeria) a three bedroom bungalow and a sum of N50M for conducting the team to win the 2024 Women African Cup that took place in Morocco in Morocco this year, the post-stage.

The gesture follows the return of the team from Morocco and a national reception hosted in their honor by President Bola Tinubu in Abuja. At the federal event, each player received $ 100,000, while Madugu and other technical crew members received $ 50,000, national honors and residential apartments.

The Super Falcons ensured the Wafcon title after a dramatic 3-2 victory over the Morocco of the host nation in the final, further cementing their domain as the most successful women’s football team in Africa.
