PDP Conducting a Ward Congress in Edo

The Democratic People’s Party (PDP) in Edo on Saturday conducted a congress to choose a new executive and delegation in all state wards 192.

The Chairperson of the PDP guard committee in the state, Tony Aziegbemi, who monitored training with members of the Bangsal Congress Committee from Abuja, told reporters that the number of voters reflects party resilience and increased power.

He said: “The environmental congress is very peaceful. PDP members are very enthusiastic, very active, and they choose the 17-member executive in various wards we attend.

“From what we see, we are very enthusiastic and happy and cannot be grateful to PDP members in a state that is sufficient for enthusiasm.”

Aiegbemi admitted that he was initially not sure of what was expected but was moved by the commitment of members who dare to rain.

“I will be very honest with you, I’m a little nervous when I go with a panel to watch a number of wards. I don’t know what to expect.

“But I was surprised by the loyal way PDP came out in the rain. At 7:30 a.m., people were already in reasons to vote. We thought PDP increased, and we were sure we would give APC for their money,” he added.

The Chairperson of the PDP stated his belief that “the great failure of the federal and state governments will open the way for the party to reclaim the Edo state in 2027.
