Gunmen Abduct Catholic Priest in Kogi

Armed men kidnapped Rev. p. Wilfred Ezemba of Saint Paul Parish, Agaliga-Efabo in the local government of Olamaboro of the State of Kogi.

The cleric was strongly kidnapped under a shot on Saturday at the community of Imana in the area of ​​the local government of Olamaboro.

Sources said that the Rev. Father may have been kidnapped together with others to be identified for commuters along the IMAGUGU’s road.
The accident caused apprehension to the entire Catholic family in the local government.

“We are confused because from his kidnapping three days ago, his kidnappers have not taken any contact for the request for redemption.

The abduction of the Rev. Father is said to be the second incidence of kidnapping in a week within the same local government.

When he was contacted for confirmation, the police spokesman in the state of Kogi, SP Williams Ovye, said he has not yet received details on the accident.

The Nigeria lawyer association, Idah Branch, invited the government to all levels to adopt adequate measures to deal with safety problems, in particular the question of incessant kidnappings in progress in the state of Kogi, especially in Kogi East.
