The fire broke out in the six -storey Afrilland Tower in Broad Street, Lagos Island, on Tuesday.
Deputy Financial Supervisory General Lagos State Fire Service (LSFRS), Ogabi Olajide, confirmed the incident in a statement posted on the Hand of X Agency.
He said Inferno began in the inverter room located in the basement of the building before thick smoke spread to another floor.
Deputy CG added that the firefighters from the Station of Oute Elefun and Sari Iganmu were immediately deployed to postpone the fire.

However, no victims were reported when submitting this report.
This building has a United Bank branch for Africa (UBA) and other businesses.
“The fire originated from the inverter room located in the basement of the building, while the smoke has spread on several floors and swallowed the structure.
“The evacuation of residents is ongoing, while the fire extinguisher operations have been concluded, watering the previous panic before the arrival of the first respondent,” the statement said.
