The Aquatics Federation elects the new representatives of the Athletics Council
Abuja (Reporter Core) The Aquatics Federation has successfully conducted elections for its technical and athletic representatives, consolidating its leadership structure to raise the sport of aquatic in Nigeria. This result is attributed to the leadership of the President of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko, and to the general manager, Hon. Bukola Olopade.
As a government body for all aquatic sports in the country, the aquatic federation plays a crucial role in modeling the panorama of swimming, diving and competitive dives.
The dedication of the leadership of the National Sports Commission and the passion for promoting all sports activities in the country have gained their respect and admiration of the parties concerned sports. They have a strong supporter of transparency and responsibility in all sports federations. Therefore, it is not surprising that they praised the Aquatics Federation for its exceptional work in conducting free and equoured elections.
A declaration by Patricia nnandi for the director of the press, said NSC under the guidance of Mallam Dikko, the NSC has taken significant measures to ensure that all the sports federations in the country follow the best practices in their governance. This includes the promotion of gender equality, transparency in financial management and Eque elections. Their continuous efforts led to positive changes in the Nigerian sports industry and the successful elections of the aquatic federation are still another milestone.
In the meantime, in the technical representative position, the shepherd Jasimiel Nseobong Samuel won with 24 votes, defeating Sunday Tilije who obtained 18 votes.
While in the position of representative of the athlete, the former Olympic Eric Williams was elected after the Recheale Tonjor swimmer veteran has withdrawn his candidacy in his favor.
The shepherd Samuel, swimming in the Vittoria Euforal, praised the transparency of the elections and outlined the plans to guide the youngest people to take leadership roles, develop coaching and technicians officials and produce world -class athletes trained by Nigerian coaches.
In addition, for his part, Eric Williams expressed gratitude for his elections and has promised to defend the needs of athletes, ensuring that more Nigerian athletes qualify for the main international competitions.
The election marks a new era for the Federation, with Samuel and Williams they have committed themselves to putting sport from basic levels to elite levels.
