Continental competitions: Remo Stars Fly High, Kwara United, Abia Warriors Falter

Relo Stars has had a flight start in the this year’s Caf Champions League after they defeated Zilimadjou of Comoros 4-0 in a first-stage first round draw, but there were mixed fortunes for the other nigerian flag carriers in continental competitions.

Rivers United kept the FC Les Aigles from the RDC Congo for a goalless draw in another shock of the Champions League, while Kwara United fell 4-3 against the Kotoko Asante of Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The local team Abia Warriors was retained at a 1-1 draw by Acjoliba de Malí in the Confederation Cup.
