The abducted plateau legislator resumes freedom

The member who represents Pankshin South at the Plateau State House of Assembly, Laven Denty Jacob, has regained freedom.

The legislator was kidnapped by his residence in Anguwan Kagji, in the community of Dong, Jos North Lga, Monday evening.

However, the news of its release was confirmed to journalists on Wednesday by the President, the Chamber information committee, Hon Kwarpo Sylvanus.

Sylvanus, who was not sure that the redemption was paid, said the victim had been gathered with his family

Sylvanus added that the victim was Hale and abundant.

He urged the residents to be attentive to security and alert, reporting any suspicious behavior around them.

He appreciated the prompt action of the safety agencies and the cooperation of citizens, further encouraging residents to form vigilant groups to guarantee their areas, given the level of insecurity in various communities.

“We legislators will continue to support the laws that will improve security architecture in the state,” he added.

The kidnapping of the legislator occurred only ten days after a member of the body and a student of the University of Jos were kidnapped in the area.
