Nigeria on the road to the size under Tinubu, inhaood says to the anniversary of independence

The Governor of the State of Ogun, Dapo Inhabitun, said that Nigeria is undergoing a rebirth under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, underlining that the country is on a course for greatness if citizens gather behind federal and state governments in the task of building nation.

Inhabitun declared him on Wednesday at the 65th celebration of the day of the independence held at the cultural center of 12 June, Kuto, Abeokuta, where he described President Tinubu as a fairly bold leader to make crucial economic decisions that had been avoided by previous administrations.

According to the governor, the Tinubu economic project is in tune with the urgent needs of the Nigerians and aligned with global realities, especially in the 21st century.

“Building a stronger Nigeria is not the only responsibility of the government; it is a collective duty of every Nigerian at home and abroad,” said inhabitaun.

“The theme of this year’s celebration,” all hands on the bridge for a larger nation “, is timely and instructive for us as people”.

He underlined that the task of building the nation was enormous and invited the Nigerians regardless of religion, ethnic group, political affiliation or social status to join the government at all levels to achieve progress.

The governor also used the opportunity to highlight the results of his administration, observing that his government had gone beyond the “Power-Point promises” for the realization of tangible projects throughout the state of Ogun.

“The government does not concern the political promises or empty presentations. We have gone from a plan to action,” he added, adding that the state of Ogun remains the “door to the prosperity and the transformative future of Nigeria”.

Inhabitun also described the celebration as a reminder of resilience and unity imagined by the founding fathers of the nation. He insisted on the fact that democracy remains the safest path of Nigeria towards stability, prosperity and inclusive development despite the current economic challenges.

The event attracted dignitaries from all over the state, which also lent their voice to the request for collective responsibility in the construction of the nation.

President of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oiludais Elemide, said that the challenges that face Nigeria should be seen as growing signs rather than obstacles.

“The Nigerians must stop complaining and start doing the right things to advance the nation,” he urged.

The chief judge of the state, judge Mosunmola Dipeolu, expressed optimism that the nation is close to overcoming his challenges, while asking for sustained prayers.

The former military governor of the State of Ogun, the major general Seidu Balogun (RTD), praised subsequent administrations for having transformed the state into an industrial center, describing his mandate as a “small start to get bigger things”.

Traditional sovereigns have also lent their voices. The Akarigbo of Remoland and the president of the Council of State of Ogun di Obas, Oba Babunde Ajayi, warned the Nigerians to stop curse the country, but rather support his recovery with prayers.

In the same way, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedoun Gbadebo, stressed that the unity and positive attitudes were crucial for the size of the nation.

Previously, the secretary of the state government, Tokunbo Talabi, said that the celebration was not only to celebrate the 65th independence of Nigeria, but also to appreciate God’s mercy on the nation.
