Okoro confident as Heartland prepares for Smart City Clash

Heartland FC top scorer, Joel Okoro, has expressed great confidence ahead of the club’s crucial match against Smart City FC in the Nigeria National League this weekend.

Okoro, who has been one of Heartland FC’s best players this season, believes the team is fully prepared for the challenge and determined to get maximum points from the match.

Speaking before the match, the striker acknowledged the quality of their opponents but insisted Heartland remained focused on delivering a solid performance.

“We know it will be a tough game because Smart City is a good team,” Okoro said. “But we prepared well and as a team we are determined to give our best.

“My job as a striker is to help the team with goals, but the most important thing for us is to win.”

The in-form striker, whose goals have been key to Heartland’s campaign so far, says that while personal form is encouraging, collective success remains the club’s priority.

With Naze Millionaires pushing for a strong position in the league table, the clash against Smart City is expected to be another major test of their ambitions as the campaign gathers momentum.

Meanwhile, the club’s technical leadership under Emmanuel Amuneke took time to recognize the club’s loyal supporters. A devoted fan of the team was honored and unveiled in front of the players and fans, a gesture aimed at celebrating the passion and commitment of the Heartland faithful.
