The Super Eagles camp officially opened today in Antalya, Türkiye, as Nigeria begins preparations for the upcoming international window.
The team’s coaches and managers have already arrived in Istanbul and are expected to land in Antalya at noon to begin all activities.
Among the officials already on the field is head coach Eric Chelle, along with Daniel Ogunmodede and Fidelis Ilechukwu.
Guest players are expected to arrive throughout the day, and the camp is expected to be fully set up before the close of business.
Nigeria is scheduled to face Iran and Jordan in two high-profile friendly matches during this window.
The match against Jordan was initially scheduled to take place in Jordan, but had to be moved to Türkiye due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Coach Eric Chelle invited a 23-man squad for the friendlies, introducing three new faces into the national setup: Emmanuel Fernandez, Philip Otele and Collins Yira Sor.
His inclusion indicates an opportunity for new talent to join the team as the team continues to evolve.
These matches will serve as an important platform for Chelle to further organize the team, implement tactical structures and experiment with different gameplay approaches.
