‘Pussy nigga’: Wizkid criticizes Burna Boy for arguing with DJ Tunez

Popular Nigerian singer Wizkid has lashed out at his colleague, Burna Boy, following the latter’s recent altercation with DJ Tunez in Lagos.

The clash occurred during a weekly Afrobeat party held at Obi’s House in Lagos on Monday, April 6, 2026.

A heated exchange between Burna Boy and DJ Tunez turned physical, with members of Burna Boy’s entourage joining the brawl before onlookers intervened to restore calm.

While the cause of the controversy remains unclear, speculation suggests that the clash could be linked to the lingering rivalry in the industry, particularly DJ Tunez’s close affiliation with Wizkid.

After the incident, DJ Tunez, fondly called Ogbafia, appeared to taunt Burna Boy as a coward and released “All Signs of Weakness,” a line seen as a dig at Burna Boy’s album “No Sign of Weakness.”

Burna Boy then responded with a mocking video, dancing to DJ Tunez’s Money Constant featuring Wizkid, DJ Maphorisa and Mavo.

In the clip, he changed the lyrics from “Ogbafia dey my side” to “Ogbafia dey for ground” before theatrically falling – a move interpreted as a straight jab.

Reacting on X on Wednesday, Wizkid lashed out at Burna Boy, using harsh words to condemn the alleged attack.

“Pussy nigga Skip a dj with 10 men bring a towel and dance. 😂 I’ve never seen a fool like this darling my whole life 😂🤣,” Wizkid wrote.

The singer’s reaction seems to signal renewed tension between Wizkid and Burna Boy, who previously maintained a close relationship and collaborated on several songs.

The Nigerian DJ Association on Tuesday announced a temporary ban on Burna Boy’s songs in its members’ playlists pending an investigation into the incident.

“Burna Boy’s music is temporarily off our DJs’ playlists until further notice,” the group said, adding that an investigation has been launched into the incident.
