Preparations for the 2026 Unity Cup, scheduled to take place from 26-30 May 2026 in London, have reached fever pitch, as organizers have taken a step further with the announcement of the appointment of renowned FIFA-licensed football agent, Dr. Drew Uyi, as the tournament’s official cultural ambassador.

Reacting to the news, an elated Uyi noted: “It’s that time of year again and I’m thrilled to announce that I will continue my role as an ambassador for the 2026 Unity Cup.”

“The Unity Cup is more than just a football tournament, as it is known, it is a celebration of football and diaspora culture, combining international football with music, food, entertainment and community experiences.

“I am honored to once again be part of a platform that stands for legacy building, youth empowerment and positive change,” he added.

The 2026 Unity Cup will feature reigning champions Nigeria, Jamaica and debutants, India and Zimbabwe, in what promises to be a sweet blend of drama, grit, excitement and edge-of-the-seat action matches.
