Ado-Ekiti Palace Schools celebrate Children’s Day 2026 and seek inclusive education

A renowned citadel of learning in Ekiti State, Palace Schools Ado-Ekiti, on Wednesday, joined the global community in observing the celebration of Children’s Day 2026 in grand style.

The school, renowned for its niche in training future leaders, commemorated the day with many exciting activities including road shows, funfair, dance competitions, drama shows and gift presentations.

Pupils and students, dressed in their uniforms, took to the streets of Ado-Ekiti for a stroll under the close supervision of officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC and teachers, drawing admiration from passers-by.

Addressing pupils and students at the momentous event at the Palace Schools premises, located at 19 Igbalaye Street, Ado-Ekiti, the Administrative Head, Mrs Veronica Amaraegbu said the day was another opportunity to celebrate children in a special way.

Speaking on the theme of this year’s event: “Future Now: Promoting Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child”, he urged pupils and students to be advocates for inclusion in their classrooms, homes and peer groups, stressing that they are committed to raising a generation of leaders who would dominate the world in various sectors.

According to her, “We must not wait to grow up to build a better and kinder Nigeria. We can start today in our classrooms and on our playgrounds.

“When we include every child, we are building a Nigeria where every dream can come true. A Nigeria where the next great doctor, scientist, artist or president could be any of you.”

Meanwhile, admission to Palace Schools Ado-Ekiti is underway; nursery, playgroup, nursery, nursery, primary 1-5, JSS 1-3, SSS1-3.
