The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has congratulated Muslims on the 2026 Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-el-Kabir festivities and called on party members to maintain unity ahead of the upcoming elections.
In a statement on Thursday, the State Publicity Secretary Otunba Muyide Adeyeluwa commended the Federal Government for declaring the holiday. He said the move reflects the administration’s commitment to religious harmony, inclusion and national unity.
The party urged Muslims to uphold the values of peace, sacrifice, compassion, tolerance, love and obedience to God that the celebrations represent. He also asked them to pray for the peace, unity, progress and economic prosperity of Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu.
The State Chairman of the APC, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde appealed to members to sustain the peace observed during the recent primary elections. He said members must remain mobilized and committed to working for the victory of all duly elected candidates.
Babatunde urged the party to rally behind Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to ensure continued progress and electoral success in Ondo State.
The party congratulated Muslim leaders, APC supporters and residents across the state as they joined millions of Muslims across the world in the celebrations. He expressed hope that the Eid period would strengthen national cohesion, deepen brotherhood and bring renewed blessings to Ondo State and Nigeria.
