Police rescue Adelabu’s sister and her two children – THISAGE

Police have rescued Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, sister of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul.

According to available information, the police rescued the three on Saturday around 7.30 pm, after a heavy gun duel with their captors.

Sources say at least two of the kidnappers died due to the superior force of the police assault, while the others escaped with gunshot wounds.

John-Paul and her twins were kidnapped on June 3, 2026 at around 7.30am while she was dropping them off at school in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

Police have yet to officially announce the rescue.
