Beautiful Gate Foundation donates 100 wheelchairs to people with disabilities in Gombe


The Family Trust Care Foundation, led by CEO Hajiya Zainab Jamil Gwamna, in collaboration with the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Centre, has donated 100 wheelchairs to support people with disabilities in Gombe as part of a humanitarian effort to promote inclusion, dignity and independent living.

“This initiative is much more than just distributing mobility aids; it is about restoring hope, expanding opportunities and ensuring that people with disabilities can fully participate in society,” said Hajiya Zainab.

He explained that each wheelchair would improve access to education, healthcare, employment and social participation, and reaffirmed the Foundation’s belief that meaningful progress depends on giving every member of society the chance to contribute and thrive.

Hajiya Zainab Jamil Gwamna also highlighted the Foundation’s broader humanitarian works, including medical awareness activities, educational support, food relief and empowerment programs for women, youth and people with disabilities.

The CEO of the Family Trust Care Foundation also praised the efforts of the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Center for its long-standing work in rehabilitation, advocacy, skill acquisition, educational support and community reintegration.

“An inclusive society is one in which no individual is left behind and the needs of vulnerable groups must remain at the center of policies and programs for sustainable development,” he said while conveying Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna’s message of support.

According to her, Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna urged the beneficiaries to remain confident and determined, reminding them that disability should never define their potential and that they are valued, respected and full of promise.

The event concluded with the presentation of N5,000 each from the Family Trust Care Foundation to each of the beneficiaries for maintenance of wheelchairs.

The presentation brought together government representatives, development partners, community leaders, media professionals and beneficiaries, underlining a shared commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and strengthening disability inclusion.
