The Nigerian women’s tennis team is on the verge of making history as the quartet of Etoro Bassey, Success Ogunjobi, Khadijat Mohammed and Oyinlomo Quadre, under the guidance of coach Rotimi Akinloye, continue their impressive campaign at the 2026 Billie Jean King Europe/Africa Cup Group III Qualifiers in Gaborone, Botswana.
Sports247 reports that the Nigerian team has put itself in a strong position to secure a first-ever promotion to Group II Europe/Africa, a feat no Nigerian women’s team has achieved since the country’s debut in the prestigious international competition in 2021.
