Former Flying Eagles captain Daniel Bameyi joins Finnish club Inter Turku II

Former Nigeria Under-20 captain Daniel Bameyi has completed his move to Finnish side Inter Turku II from Slovenian club ND Primorje and begins a new chapter in his European career.

Sports247 reports that Bameyi has signed for Inter/2, Inter Turku’s affiliate, and will compete for Finnish side Ykkönen, the country’s second division of professional football.

The move represents another step in the defender’s European journey as he looks to regain momentum and establish himself in the Finnish football system.

Bameyi previously captained the Nigeria under-20 national team and gained recognition as one of the country’s promising young defenders.

His experience at international youth level provides an important foundation as he embarks on his latest challenge in Scandinavia.

The Nigerian defender now arrives in the southwest of Finland, in the Varsinais-Suomi region, where he will meet his new teammates and begin preparations for the campaign.

Having experienced football in Slovenia with ND Primorje, Bameyi will now look to quickly adapt to the Finnish game and make an immediate contribution to Inter/2.
