I don’t have a favorite actor because I’m better than all of them — Pete Edochie

Veteran actor, Pete Edochie, once admitted that he doesn’t have a favorite actor because he considers himself bigger than them all.

Edochie spoke while chatting with comedian, Isbae U, on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast.

When asked the name of his favorite actor, Edochie admitted that he couldn’t choose one because he considered himself bigger than all of them.

The actor also spoke about people claiming to be older than him in the industry, saying that he never felt the need to respond to such claims.

“People have written that they are older than me in the industry, but I don’t respond to that,” he said.

The actor was also asked about people who believe they are on the same level as him, and he challenged anyone who holds such views to come forward and say so.

“Anyone who says they align with me should come out and say it,” he said.

His comments come amid earlier claims from actor Yemi Solade that he started acting before Edochie.

Solade said that although Edochie is older than him, he started acting before the veteran actor, whom he described as his senior colleague.

This issue resurfaced when Solade appeared on Curiosity Made Me Ask, where he stated that he started acting before Edochie.

Edochie, however, did not mention Solade by name while talking about people who claimed to have seniority over him or considered themselves to be at the same level.

Speaking about being described as a legend, Edochie said he was not sure what people meant by the term but appreciated the recognition.

“I don’t know the definition of a folk legend, but I’m happy to be celebrated,” he said.

The veteran actor also revealed that he was already established professionally before entering the world of acting, adding that he eventually retired as a Program Director.
