The Chinese want to remove third-party and sell their products directly to the consumers at affordable rates, how is that a problem? Go and manufacturer/produce your own and sell it at your rate, or lower your voice and allow manufacturers do the talking.
China is already in charge of commerce and trade globally. The US already tried tariff wars with them…. They are now here in Nigeria They are just easing the plight of the hard pressed people of Nigeria who have borne the brunt of decades of looting public office funds. At least when the supply is high, the prices will fall. If you cant beat them,then find a way to survive with them

It's a wake-up call for us to start producing here in Nigeria and sell cheaper than any foreign investor; it will force them to invest in local businesses rather than compete with them. Bilateral trade agreements (especially with China) can be harnessed in certain sectors like agriculture, but it doesn't necessarily work for other sectors like manufacturing.
If we have a proper government, we can harness this Chinese interest to develop Nigeria, but instead our president and his gang are only interested in destroying Igbo people's business. They can't even understand that it's the Nigerian economy that is being destroyed.
Chinese people signed a contract to build a free trade zone in Ogun and the Mambilla hydro electric dam, both were sabotaged by government officials because they wanted to use every project as an avenue to steal money. Instead of getting the Chinese to do these things that will benefit our collective economy government people are super focused on showing Igbo people pepper. Is it not better to expel these Igbo people from Nigeria so that the rest of the people can focus on building their country?

Their protest should be that the government should regulate the price. I don't think we should be thinking in the direction of some people wanting to take over our market. If the government regulates the price of goods then it doesn't matter who is coming to sell, everyone sells at a regulated price meaning everyone will have equal sales opportunity.
Unfortunately, in Africa most of our leaders are girls friends of the Chinese government so it will be difficult for them to put in place policies that will protest their citizens.
