Panchor Murai FC secured an impressive 3-1 victory over MS PPDB under the floodlights at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex on the night of Saturday 10 October 2026, picking up a vital 3 points in the 2026/27 Brunei Super League season.

The match was heavily influenced by a stunning display from striker Martins Ohia, a former Chykap Football Club Lagos player, whose speed and agile brilliance orchestrated the home team’s attacking dominance.

Panchor Murai set an aggressive pace right from the whistle, breaking the deadlock in the 16th minute.

Ohia unlocked the opposition’s defensive line with a sublime and perfectly weighted through ball, creating the first goal to give the hosts the lead.

Maintaining the momentum in the second half, Panchor Murai doubled their lead soon after the restart when a 47th-minute penalty was coolly converted, making the score 2-0.

Just a minute later, in the 48th minute, Ohia produced his second highlight of the night.

Embarking on a long-range run down the right flank, he drove deep to the edge of the penalty area before curling a precise pass past the onrushing goalkeeper. An alert teammate flicked the ball into an empty net, capping a brilliant team move and extending the lead to 3-0.

With the end of the match, Ohia Jnr was replaced in the 89th minute following a tough clash with an opponent, a precautionary measure adopted by the technical staff to protect the champion in view of the next championship match.

MS PPDB managed to salvage a consolation goal, but it proved to be merely academic as Panchor Murai managed the remaining minutes comfortably.

The final whistle confirmed a 3-1 victory, consolidating a complete performance and securing all 3 points for Panchor Murai FC.

Reflecting on the team’s stellar performance and their contributions on the pitch, Martins Ohia shared his thoughts after the final whistle:

“I am absolutely thrilled with tonight’s result. Getting the three points at home was our primary objective and the whole team fought hard from the first to the last minute.

“Providing assists is great, but this victory belongs to the collective effort of the team and our coaching staff.

“We are taking the positives from this game, staying focused and looking forward to keeping the momentum going into the next game.”
