The Nationwide League One (NLO) Secretariat has directed all clubs participating in the NLO Cup to ensure adequate security and adequate preparation of their designated grounds, while requiring the prominent display of pitch panels with the names of clubs, partners and sponsors.
In an official directive addressed to participating clubs, the Secretariat highlighted the importance of adequate preparation of venues, effective security measures and maintenance of facilities to ensure the smooth and successful celebration of matches throughout the competition.
The directive also requires clubs to ensure that their playing surfaces, changing rooms and other ancillary facilities are kept in good condition and are fully ready for match day operations.
The NLO also urged clubs to maximize the commercial opportunities offered by on-field branding to improve sponsor visibility, strengthen commercial partnerships and attract potential investors.
The Secretariat emphasized that strict compliance with the directive is mandatory, warning that clubs that show deficiencies in the preparation or safety of their playing fields, or in the display of the required field panels, may be subject to appropriate sanctions as determined by the Competition Organizing Committee.
All participating clubs are therefore urged to take necessary measures to fully comply with the directive for the sake of safety, professionalism and the continued growth of grassroots football in Nigeria.
