The Rivers State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Tuesday unveiled the leadership and organizational structure of its Governorship Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.
The council brought together experienced political leaders, professionals, grassroots organisers, women, youth and other stakeholders who were entrusted with various responsibilities in the coordination and administration of campaign activities in the 23 local government areas of Rivers State.
In a statement personally signed in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, the State Chairman of the ADC, Dr. Chukwudi Dimkpa, congratulated Senator Andrew Uchendu, Chairman of the Electoral Council; Hon. Chimbiko Akarolo, Director General; vice presidents, deputy general managers, management executives, department heads and all other officials.
Dimkpa said: “Every appointment carries the responsibility to serve with dedication, discipline, integrity, mutual respect and accountability.”
The ADC state president added that the full list of 12 directorates will be released separately, two directors each day, starting Wednesday, October 14, 2026, adding that “members whose names do not appear in today’s leadership announcement should therefore await the release of their respective directorates.”
He urged all appointees to view their responsibilities as a call to service and work harmoniously within the approved structure of the electoral council.
Dimkpa concluded by charging members of the party and the electoral council to remain committed to the “vision of building the rivers we deserve”.
