Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo has slammed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, saying he (Atiku) is trying to deceive the younger generation of Nigerians who do not know their history.

He further said, “In September 2004, when you were Vice President, your government woke up one morning and liquidated Nigeria Airways, leaving thousands of Nigerians out of work and in grief and pain. What’s worse, you refused to pay their pensions and gratuities, thereby earning billions of Naira.
“Twenty two years later, after many of them died of frustration, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT is now cleaning up the mess you left behind. Over a month ago, Mr President approved and released a total of N36 billion to provide relief to these families. They have already started receiving warnings and prayers for Mr President. In fact, the President was given an Award for this by the union a few weeks ago.
“Yet you sit there and pontificate?”
Keyamo stated: “It is only young people who do not know your history that you can try to deceive, but we will expose you to them. You cannot hide your excessive ambitions in a cloud of rhetorical nonsense.
“If you are comfortable, you claim an Obasanjo-Atiku government and if it is not convenient, you say Obasanjo is in charge and not you as Vice President. The correct attitude is that of a cheater!”
Atiku in an earlier post, had called on Nigerians to get their PVCs, to vote out of the current administration of President Bola Tinubu, which he said, has “made life expensive”.
He lamented, that “parents go to bed worried about what they will give their children tomorrow. Pensioners have to choose between buying medicine and buying food. Young people work hard, but transportation, rent and basic needs eat up their income. And across the country, many families live in fear of kidnapping, assault and whether their loved ones will return home safely.
No family should have to face hunger and insecurity at the same time. We cannot allow this hardship and fear to be the legacy of our children’s future.”
