Armed men killed three police officers in Kogi

Armed people on Wednesday morning killed three police officers at an examination post in Egbe, in the region of the West Yagba region in the state of Kogi.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, William Aya, confirmed the incident to journalists at Lokoja.

He said the Commissioner of the State Police, Miller Dantawee, had deployed the police tactical team to the area.

“I can confirm to you that three of our officers in charge of being killed today in Egbe, a border community with the state of Kwara.

“The police commissioner has mobilized the tactical squad to the area. We are currently in the path of unknown armed men, and I convince you that the perpetrators of the murder will be arrested,” the spokesman added.
