Bala Mohammed moves from PDP to APM – THIS UPDATE

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has formally defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

Mohammed announced his defection to APM after obtaining his party membership card on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

Mohammed’s defection is expected to reshape political alignments in Bauchi state, where the PDP has been a dominant force.

He had earlier declared his intention to contest the Bauchi South senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections.
