Galadima claims Obi, Kwankwaso will dump ADC on Monday

A member of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Buba Galadima, claimed on Saturday that former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi and his Kano State counterpart, Rabiu Kwankwaso, would join the new party on Monday.

He was speaking at a stakeholders meeting organized by the Obi-Kwankwaso Movement in Abuja.

Obi and Kwankwaso are members of the African Democratic Congress (APC).

There are insinuations that the two men plan to run together in the 2027 election.

While Galadima is tight-lipped about the new political platform established by the former governors, there are insinuations that they have finalized plans to join the newly formed Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).

Former Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, is the national leader of the NDC while former Zamfara senator, Kabiru Marafa, joined the party last week.

Galadima said: “Starting Monday, when our leaders announce which platform they will vote for, I want to tell you that one of two things will happen. And I’m here to guide you in responding to what will happen.

“First, they will sponsor columnists. Second, they will mobilize social media influencers to start attacking our candidates. For all of you on social media and those of you with strong pens, you need to be ready to respond to whatever they have to say.”
