Carabao Cup: Liverpool Must Maintain Winning Mentality -Gakpo

Liverpool forward, Cody Gakpo has urged his teammates to maintain their strong winning mentality ahead of the second.

Recall that Liverpool defeated Fulham 2-1 on Wednesday in the first leg semi finals of Carabao Cup.

Gakpo who netted the match winning goal, told Skysports that the team must maintain their winning mentality.

“It’s the mentality in the group, in the club, in the city,” Gakpo told Sky Sports post-match.

“Everybody is like this: mentality, just keep going no matter what happens. We showed it again today. If you’ve got that mentality, a lot of beautiful things can happen.”

“A very important one to get us back in the game.”
